Modern Invisibility
While is it not up for debate in regard to how much of society is currently monitored, there are ways to reduce one’s footprint.
-Block your house on Google Maps. This can be done with a request to Google.
-Attach an IR cover/reflective spray on to your license plates.
-Avoid yard signs, or place yard signs that fit in with the local agendas.
-Carry your gear in common use bags. If you are going to the range, perhaps use a tennis bag or gym bag to carry your tools. And if a nosy neighbor sees you leaving with a gym bag that holds prohibited items, they will be less likely to think of it as opposed to a dedicated gun case.
-Avoid social media posts or make your accounts private after a cleanse of “friends”.
-Avoid wearing clothing that draws attention. Be it bright colors, a veteran company logo, or the “gray man” look, all these types of clothing will draw unwanted attention and make you stand out.
-Keep your extracurricular activities to yourself. Do not brag about what gear you own. Do not post pictures about what you do. Keep a close knit group of friends and do not share sensitive information outside of it.
Loose lips sink ships, and it is wise to be overly cautious in today’s world. Find your tribe and grow, but do so with caution. While the squeaky wheel gets the grease, it can also get the hammer. #FindYourHill
