Wood Table Discussions
Social media and technology is great, but it has severe drawbacks. The most notable of those being privacy. So how do we tackle this obstacle? We meet in person.
I have been organizing “Wood Table Discussions” in order to build camaraderie, organize goals, and share advice. A formal letter with an invitation that includes the time, date, and location is sent out a month prior.
For those who accept, we meet every month at a home for dinner. We turn off our phones, leave them in a separate room, and discuss any issues that come up. Sometimes they are lighthearted. Sometimes we tackle personal issues and offer advice from prior experiences. And other times we run through various scenarios and plan accordingly.
The main goal is to build lasting relationships with those in your area; something that can only be accomplished through face-to-face interactions. On top of that, it offers a distraction free and “secure” environment. #FindYourHill
